As human beings we face challenges throughout life and my own challenges have taught me to appreciate the benefits of having a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their mental health, understand their subjective life experience, and move toward healing.
My background within the public service and subsequently as a family carer and disability advocate, gave me profound insight into the human condition, the complexities of everyday life and the critical importance of mental wellness. Professional training has further strengthened my belief that everyone deserves high quality, accessible, and compassionate mental health support.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Irish Institute of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IICP). I am ASSIST trained. In addition, I am a Pre-Accredited Member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). As such, I adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards of the IACP, incorporating regular professional supervision and continuous professional development into my therapeutic practice.
